I began
my motorcycle career as an apprentice with a Honda & Villiers
dealer in Edinburgh back in 1975

I started motorcycle road racing, as
a hobby, in 1979 on a Honda CB750F2 then briefly on a Laverda Jota,
Kawasaki KH250 and finally in 1981
on a Yamaha RD350LC. I also took
part in two AMCA Motocross
seasons on a Yamaha YZ250,
with vaying results!

a team

I then helped Andy Bradford on a Honda RS125 for two successful seasons
